I'm Jan Szczekulski, a Full-Stack SDE and AI researcher. I'm currentely pursuing my masters in CSE @UCSD, where I'm working in CRI lab on the home robot project. During my masters I'm primarly focusing on Deep RL and Computer Vision, while also learning more about all the other AI subfields such as NLP or Reccommendation Systems. I'm also a GSR at the Contextual Robotics Institute where I'm working on a home robot project.

Tech Stack: Java(SpringBoot), JavaScript(React, Angular)I led the experimentable widgets project, which enabled the company to quickly and dynamically test changes to website's frontend utilizing A/B testing. As part of this project, I've made alterations to the larger internal architecture, including 4 backends and 2 frontends. As of time of writing, this feature enabled 15 new A/B tests in only 2 months, all set up effortlessly via UI. The estimated earning/savings of these A/B tests were £7 million per year.

Tech Stack: Python (Pandas, Matplotlib, Tensorflow, PyTorch)Our research of long-term treatment of PWS birthmarks revealed that discontinuation of treatment leads to a worsening of the condition. Consequently, this lead to introduction of a novel sustained treatment for PWS. Right now I'm working on using imaging methods such as GANs and CNNs to estimate the effectiveness of the treatment (in the form of a numerical value or a post-treatment image).

Such as automated query generations, ad-hoc data analyses of A/B tests, automatic generation of results. The a/b tests I've conducted saved/earned company estimated £3 million per year. I assisted in the creation of a Machine Learning algorithm aimed at predicting short-term demand. At last, I've worked on pipelines setup, including shell scripts, Jenkins, VM and GH actions setups.
